About the MD Skinner
Named after my wonderful friend Mike Debenedetto who was taken from us far too soon. Mike was an avid hunter, shooting enthusiast, knife buff and cigar aficionado. The last time I was with Mike I was guiding him on a week long white tail and hog hunt in Texas. He successfully harvested 2 white tail bucks, 2 doe and I lost count on hogs. It was also around my birthday and he gave me an amazing Winkler knife which I used to skin out his animals. Mike passed away 7 weeks later.
The MD Skinner has the same blade profile only slightly larger than the MM Skinner and a dog foot handle which offers great retention when cutting away from you. This blade design has been very popular here on the Richards Ranch where we gut and skin 100-150 animals a year.
